Katsushika Hokusai

Katsushika Hokusai was an ukiyo-e artist of the Edo period, known especially for his landscape paintings and depictions of waves.
"Ouka ni Fujizu" is a work painted by Hokusai when he was in his 40s and called himself a mad painter. It depicts a beautiful spring scene with overlapping full-bloom cherry blossoms and spring haze drifting around, beyond which the sacred Mount Fuji covered in white makeup can be seen.
