Food Paper Onion 1m x 2m size
Is it possible to make wallpaper that is more environmentally friendly and does not use PVC?
Through trial and error, I discovered ``Food Paper'', a paper made from vegetables.
This paper, which is used as paper accessories such as stationery, has now been commercialized in a large size for wallpaper.
Food Paper is made by hand using discarded carrots, onions, potato skins, etc., along with kozo and hemp fibers using the traditional Japanese paper manufacturing method.
This eco-friendly wallpaper has a unique texture that is different from both Western and Japanese paper, and the subtle vegetable coloring.
onion
The soft yellow color and rough texture of onion skin are appealing.
Sold in units of one.

About the product
- Due to the nature of the product being handmade, there may be a dimensional error of approximately ±2cm.
- Because each piece is handmade, there may be differences in the expression and color of the pattern depending on the time of manufacture. Thank you for your understanding.
- To increase the strength of the wallpaper when it gets wet, a dosa liquid made from glue and alum is applied to the surface.
Therefore, there may be a chemical-like odor when opening the package, but this will subside over time. - Depending on your viewing environment, the color on your screen may differ from the color of the product.
Installation precautions
- Because the paper is made from vegetable peels and fruits, the dye from the vegetables will transfer to the underlying wall. Not recommended for areas that require complete restoration.
- It may not adhere well to wallpaper with features such as "water repellent" or "stain proof" and may peel off.
- It can be applied to a paint base, but the paint film may peel off when removed.
- If the wallpaper is used on a substrate other than vinyl, it may peel off or leave marks when removed.
